Course description

This integrated course covers both the science of Tajweed and the essentials of Islamiyat. Students will begin by focusing on the proper rules of Quranic recitation through Tajweed, learning to articulate Arabic letters correctly and applying the rules of pauses, starting points, and rhythm. Alongside this, they will study core Islamic teachings, guided by the textbook Islamiyaat by Ustadhah Shaykhatul Hadith Aasiya Iqbal Motorwala, which provides an accessible and structured approach to Islamic knowledge.

The course will include practical recitation exercises, theoretical lessons, and engaging discussions on various Islamic topics, ensuring that students not only improve their recitation but also strengthen their understanding of Islam.

Course Curriculum

This course will cover a range of topics across both Tajweed and Islamiyat, designed to create a well-rounded learning experience:

• Tajweed Fundamentals: Learning the core rules of Quranic recitation, focusing on proper pronunciation, articulation, and rhythm.
• Proper Quranic Recitation: Applying Tajweed rules to recite Quranic verses and Surahs accurately and beautifully.
• Islamic Beliefs & Practices: An introduction to the fundamental beliefs in Islam, including the oneness of God, the Prophethood, and the Five Pillars of Islam.
• Ethics & Morality in Islam: Understanding Islamic ethics, manners, and moral conduct in daily life, focusing on how these principles guide interactions and personal development.
• The Life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): A study of the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and how they shape Muslim conduct and beliefs.
• Islamic History and Jurisprudence: Key events in Islamic history, as well as an introduction to Islamic law and jurisprudence.

  • Afternoon: 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM IST
  • Evening: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM IST
• Methodology: Live interactive lessons, Theory & Practical recitation, and group discussions
